White beeswax is refined by oxidation and bleaching of beeswax (the wax secreted by bees). Due to the different species of bees, beeswax secreted by Chinese bees is commonly known as Chinese beeswax (acid value of 5.0~8.0), while beeswax secreted by western bee species (mainly Italian bees) is commonly known as Western beeswax (acid value of 16.0~23.0).
